Over the last 53 years, Quénet’s has grown into a home for South Africans who love the wild places. What began with George Alfred Quénet and a small shop beside the family pharmacy on High Street, in small-town Worcester, in the Western Cape province of South Africa, has become Quénet’s The Great Outdoors — a mix of old hands, new ideas and the next generation!

A lot has changed since November 1972 — new faces, new gear, new ways to explore — but the heart behind the counter hasn’t. Ours has always been a story of craft, care, and standing the test of time.
